Species/Variety: Thrasher PE (Psilocybe cubensis)

Origins: Thrasher PE is a newer addition to the Penis Envy family, with a backstory that traces it to the well-known Melmac PE line. As the story goes, a mushroom cultivator working with Melmac genetics came across a standout variation with the size, shape, and characteristics they were looking for. That variation was developed further and eventually became the Thrasher PE we know today. Since Thrasher is still relatively new, much of its history comes from mushroom-community lore rather than a well-documented lineage.

Characteristics: Thrasher PE is hard to miss. These mushrooms are known for their big, chunky appearance, with thick, dense stems that can grow surprisingly wide. The stems are usually pale to white, paired with lightly coloured caps that can range from beige to washed-out grey. You may also notice some blue or blue-green bruising, especially where the mushrooms have been handled.

Potency and Effects: Thrasher PE comes from a family of mushrooms with a reputation for packing a little more punch, so it isn’t one we’d suggest treating too casually. Experiences can vary quite a bit from person to person and even from one batch to another, but Thrasher is often associated with a more intense psychedelic experience. Visual changes, deep or wandering thoughts, emotional introspection, and that classic altered sense of time and surroundings may all be part of the ride.

Creative dose: 0.5 grams
Medium recreational dose: 0.75–1.0 grams
Full recreational dose: 1.0–1.5 grams

Drug Interactions: Psilocybin may interact with prescription medications and other substances. Combining substances that affect serotonin may also carry a risk of serotonin toxicity (serotonin syndrome), particularly with certain medications or combinations. If you take prescription medication, speak with a qualified healthcare professional about possible interactions. Do not stop or change a prescribed medication in order to use psilocybin without medical guidance.

Storage: Store at room temperature in a dry environment away from direct sunlight.
