Origins: Tidal Wave brings together two of the best-known names in the mushroom world: Penis Envy and B+. The variety was developed by crossing these two classic cubensis lines, combining the legendary reputation of Penis Envy with the familiar B+ lineage. Tidal Wave went on to become a standout variety in its own right and has attracted plenty of attention among mushroom enthusiasts for both its unusual genetics and formidable reputation.

Characteristics: Tidal Wave mushrooms can show quite a bit of variation, with colouring ranging from creamy white and yellowish tones to warm brown, cinnamon, and muted olive shades. Young mushrooms often have rounded, bulbous caps that gradually broaden and flatten as they mature. The caps have a generally smooth surface, while the pale stems and flesh may develop noticeable blue to blue-green bruising when handled.

Potency and Effects: Tidal Wave has built a serious reputation in the mushroom community for its potency and immersive psychedelic character. Users commonly describe strong euphoria, vivid visual changes, deep introspection, philosophical or free-flowing thoughts, and significant shifts in the perception of time and space. Some experiences are also associated with synaesthesia-like effects, where senses can seem to overlap or interact in unusual ways. The combination of a powerful headspace and prominent visuals has made Tidal Wave one of the more talked-about varieties in the modern cubensis world.
