Origins: Dino Eggs are an unusual Penis Envy-type mushroom with a look that definitely lives up to the name. Their lineage is commonly connected to Penis Envy and Albino Penis Envy (APE) genetics, two well-known names in the mushroom world. Like many newer mushroom varieties, the exact history can be a little hazy, but Dino Eggs have earned attention for their distinctive shape and their reputation as a heavier-hitting member of the PE family.

Characteristics: Dino Eggs aren’t your typical tall, skinny mushrooms. They’re usually short, chunky, and dense, with thick stems and oversized caps that give them their almost egg-like appearance. Caps can range from tan to darker brown, while the stems are generally pale beige to white. Their compact, unusual shape makes Dino Eggs pretty easy to pick out from a pile.

Potency and Effects: Dino Eggs have developed a reputation for being on the stronger side, particularly compared with more typical Psilocybe cubensis varieties. They’re often associated with a deeper, more immersive experience, with users reporting strong visual changes, euphoria, heightened awareness, introspective thinking, and a greater sense of connection to their surroundings.
