Origins: Texas Yellow Cap is closely related to the better-known Texas Orange Cap (TOC) line. According to the story surrounding the variety, it was first developed by an amateur mycologist around 1998 and eventually became recognized as its own distinctive Texas cubensis. While the finer details of its early history are a little hazy, its connection to the classic TOC line remains a big part of its identity.

Characteristics: Texas Yellow Cap stands out for its bright golden-yellow caps and thick, sturdy stems. While it shares plenty of similarities with Texas Orange Cap, Yellow Caps tend to grow a little taller and, of course, trade the deeper orange colouring for their signature sunny yellow tones. Young mushrooms typically begin with rounded, hemispherical caps that gradually broaden and flatten as they mature.

Potency and Effects: Texas Yellow Cap has a reputation for a balanced, easygoing psychedelic experience that combines an uplifted mood with gentle visuals and a thoughtful headspace.
