Species: Psilocybe cubensis
Strain/Variety: Vietnamese
Origins: Vietnamese is a classic cubensis variety said to trace its roots to Vietnam and the warm, humid conditions where wild Psilocybe cubensis naturally thrives. Its Southeast Asian origins give this variety a little old-school appeal in a mushroom world increasingly filled with elaborate modern crosses and isolations. Sometimes simple is good—Vietnamese has built its identity around its geographic roots rather than a complicated family tree.
Characteristics: Vietnamese mushrooms have a classic cubensis look, typically producing medium-sized golden to warm brown caps supported by thick, pale stems. The caps broaden as they mature, while the stems may develop blue bruising where handled. It’s a traditional-looking mushroom without the unusual mutations or exaggerated proportions found in many newer varieties.
Potency and Effects: Vietnamese has a reputation for a lively, well-rounded psychedelic experience with both visual and introspective qualities. Users often describe vivid visual changes, an uplifted or euphoric mood, deeper emotional reflection, and a heightened sense of connection to nature, their surroundings, or the people around them. Its more contemplative side can also take on a distinctly spiritual character, making Vietnamese popular with those drawn to thoughtful, inward-looking experiences as much as the visual side of the ride.
Use in a safe, supervised setting until you are familiar with how psilocybin affects you.
Dosage Recommendations:

Drug Interactions: Psilocybin may interact with prescription medications and other substances. Some medications, including certain antidepressants such as SSRIs, may alter the effects of psilocybin, but individual responses can vary. Combining substances that affect serotonin may also carry a risk of serotonin toxicity (serotonin syndrome), particularly with certain medications or combinations. If you take prescription medication, speak with a qualified healthcare professional about possible interactions. Do not stop or change a prescribed medication in order to use psilocybin without medical guidance.
Storage: Store at room temperature in a dry environment away from direct sunlight.
